Introduction
This project is a simple immersive virtual environment implemented using Unity3D (v. 5.5.0). In this website I present a brief discussion on the use of the implemented virtual office and how that differs from the actual room. The details on the use and the created 3D models as well as the source code are also presented. A descriptive video is also linked below.

How the virtual room 'feels'
The first impression, I felt immersed into the newly decorated virtual room. The interaction with stuffs in the room basically is similar to other virtual reality demos I've tried before, well, except if something didn't work fine in mine. Yet, I can grab things with the feeling that I garbed it and walking through the space smoothely.
In general, the immersion exists but the feeling of the room is different than the actual. They, the virtual and actual room, are slightly different. First thing, you still aware while in the virtual room that it's synthetic. Although you can interact with things in the space, there is a slight difference in perception that differs from the real perception of grabbing, throwing, etc of things. The room and its contents are placed in life size, but the perception of texture and depth is slightly different from the reality even with good lighting and realistic textures.
Sound effects triggered by the interaction added a lot to the experience. Receiving a sound from putting stuffs on the table or hearing the noise from the hallway felt the most realistic for me in this virtual experience.
In general, as I didn't use photorealistic rendering, I felt the difference between the virtual and actual room. Yet, you'll notice the similarity specially in measurements and you'll get the sense that you were in some place that is highly similar to this that you've just got back to.
The project is tested using the wang which I feel more comfortable to navigate with. Never tested it using teleporting. Although some would prefer the teleporting, I think navigation using the wang based is much closer to real walking than teleporting.
